Caregiver, Assisted Living & Dementia Care
Overview
You will own daily care for residents at Balfour Riverfront Park, helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals while encouraging independence. You will work on a team of certified caregivers and report to the Care Services Director. This full-time role offers a $500 hiring bonus and a free meal per shift, with shifts from 6 AM to 2:15 PM or 2 PM to 10:15 PM. You will make a direct impact on resident well-being in a supportive, award-winning senior living community.
What You'll Do9
- 1Monitor resident well-being and report changes to the appropriate associate immediately.
- 2Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, and ambulation using assistive devices like walkers and wheelchairs.
- 3Document care provided per standards, including updating 24 Hour Report and care checklists.
- 4Respond to emergencies following policies and procedures, including CPR and First Aid protocols.
- 5Encourage self-care and support resident social needs through wellness programs and family interactions.
- 6Cover the Customer Service desk in the Care Services lobby and answer phones per company policy.
- 7Maintain resident rooms and common areas, including making beds, taking out trash, and doing laundry.
- 8Participate in community special events and marketing events to support the sales process.
- 9Adhere to infection control, safe work practices, and confidentiality standards.
Requirements8
- 1High school education or GED preferred.
- 2First Aid certification and CPR required if mandated by state.
- 3Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) is desirable.
- 4Basic competency in Microsoft Office and custom applications.
- 5Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- 61+ years of caregiving experience preferred, with pay scaling from $19.29 to $20 per hour based on relevant years.
- 7Completion of state training requirements and/or certifications as needed.
- 8Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, TB test, and background check.
