Overview
You will own daily cafe operations at a high-volume Tropical Smoothie Cafe location in Dallas, TX. You lead a team of 8-12 crew members, manage food prep, and control inventory to hit revenue targets. You report to the General Manager and work alongside shift leads to maintain POS accuracy and food safety compliance. This role stands out for its hands-on leadership in a fast-casual environment with clear growth paths.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead a team of 8-12 crew members, training them on Aloha POS workflows and food prep standards within your first 30 days.
- 2Own shift management, including staff scheduling, task delegation, and real-time workflow adjustments during peak hours.
- 3Oversee inventory control by placing weekly orders, tracking par levels, and cutting waste by 15% within 90 days.
- 4Enforce food safety protocols, conducting daily sanitation checks and coaching crew on ServSafe best practices.
- 5Drive customer satisfaction by resolving guest issues on the spot and modeling Cafe service standards.
- 6Manage cash handling and POS transactions, reconciling drawers and investigating discrepancies daily.
- 7Partner with the GM to analyze P&L statements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and adjust labor scheduling.
- 8Support catering and special events, coordinating food prep and delivery logistics to expand cafe offerings.
Requirements8
- 12+ years in quick-service or fast-food restaurant management, with hands-on food prep experience.
- 21+ years supervising staff in a hospitality setting, including hiring and performance reviews.
- 3Proficiency with POS systems like Aloha or Micros, and daily cash handling reconciliation.
- 4Working knowledge of food safety regulations, including ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
- 5Strong leadership skills to train and motivate team members in a high-volume environment.
- 6Basic math for inventory counts, cash balancing, and P&L analysis.
- 7Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak morning or lunch shifts.
- 8Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs, handling hot food and beverage equipment safely.
