Business Transient & Leisure Sales Manager, Mondrian South Beach
Overview
Own the Leisure, Corporate, Consortia, and Travel Advisor segments at Mondrian South Beach, driving revenue for a property with 350+ rooms and Baia Beach Club partnerships. You will build and grow client relationships, execute quarterly action plans, and negotiate rates and contracts to maximize occupancy and ADR. Work alongside a collaborative sales team and report directly to the Director of Sales, contributing to the annual budget. This role offers autonomy to shape your market strategy while leveraging the global Ennismore network.
What You'll Do12
- 1Build and maintain relationships with Travel Advisors, Consortia accounts, and FIT clients through direct phone sales, site inspections, and offsite visits.
- 2Generate new business by prospecting, soliciting, and closing accounts from assigned market lists, using Opera and other sales systems.
- 3Create and execute 90-day action plans and target account lists to meet revenue goals for your segments.
- 4Negotiate rates and contracts with corporate and leisure clients, ensuring alignment with hotel revenue strategy.
- 5Participate in tradeshows, networking events, and community associations to increase hotel visibility and market share.
- 6Report weekly and monthly on sales activities, solicitation efforts, and booking outcomes to leadership.
- 7Collaborate with internal teams on group resumes, pre-con and post-con meetings, and other operational coordination.
- 8Manage your own expenses and budgets, ensuring cost-effective sales activities.
- 9Coach and motivate sales personnel to achieve departmental and hotel objectives.
- 10Support the annual Sales & Marketing Budget process with data and insights from your segments.
- 11Conduct site inspections and maintain high internal communication with all departments to ensure client satisfaction.
- 12Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and local industry changes to adjust strategies.
Requirements11
- 13+ years of hospitality sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- 2Experience in the Miami market with established relationships in the travel industry.
- 3Strong negotiation and closing skills for corporate and leisure accounts.
- 4Ability to analyze data and market trends to inform sales strategies.
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 6Familiarity with Opera or similar property management systems.
- 7Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- 8Self-motivated with strong time management and the ability to work autonomously.
- 9Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
- 10Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- 11Four-year college degree in hospitality, marketing, or related field preferred.
