Business Office Manager, Skilled Nursing Facility
Overview
You own the business office at Country Arch Care Center, a 200+ bed skilled nursing facility in New York, directing financial, administrative, and HR operations. You report to the Administrator and lead a team of 4-6 administrative staff. This role gives you full ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement in a resident-centered environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own budgeting and forecasting for the facility, delivering monthly financial reports to senior management.
- 2Direct accounts receivable and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for 150+ employees.
- 3Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for new hires, partnering with HR on employee relations.
- 4Ensure HIPAA and state regulatory compliance across all office procedures.
- 5Supervise and mentor 4-6 administrative staff, conducting training on billing and record-keeping systems.
- 6Analyze financial and operational data to identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth.
- 7Implement Lean process improvements to reduce claim denials and office turnaround time.
- 8Serve as the primary liaison for audits and surveys, preparing documentation for DOH inspections.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in business office management, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
- 3Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software like QuickBooks.
- 4Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations.
- 5CPC or CHFP certification preferred.
- 6Strong leadership and communication skills.
- 7Ability to pass a background check and physical.
