Overview
You will own business development for Hitachi Energy's eMobility Energy Solutions in North America, targeting medium and large-scale sites like logistics hubs, public transit, ports, and airports. You'll shape projects from inception, integrating digital charging and energy management with Hitachi's portfolio and third-party offerings. Collaborating with Front-End Sales, Application Engineering, and delivery teams, you'll drive early engagement and end-to-end solution development. This role stands out for its focus on co-creating scalable solutions and building regional partnerships aligned with global strategy.
What You'll Do8
- 1Identify untapped customer segments for medium and large-scale eMobility sites, including logistics hubs, public transit, ports, airports, and fleet operators.
- 2Strengthen early engagement by working with customers before requirements are fully defined, positioning Hitachi Energy as a trusted integration partner.
- 3Co-develop efficient, competitive, and scalable solutions that integrate charging infrastructure, digital energy management, Hitachi products, local services, and third-party offerings.
- 4Build regional partnerships that address local market needs while aligning with Hitachi Energy's global strategy and partner ecosystem.
- 5Translate customer needs and market insights into actionable solution concepts, value propositions, and business models that drive growth beyond product sales.
- 6Collaborate with Application Engineering, Front-End Sales, and Marketing to ensure the right technical approach, commercial positioning, and execution path from early engagement through order capture.
- 7Drive business development in North American markets, increasing system and solutions marketing activities and enhancing business intelligence to support market penetration.
- 8Ensure compliance with internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines while living core values of safety and integrity.
Requirements8
- 1Degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field.
- 28+ years in Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Strategy, or Operations within the electrical power, energy, eMobility, charging infrastructure, or digital energy management sectors.
- 3Proven track record in business development and solution selling for complex technical products.
- 4Experience with medium and large-scale customer sites such as logistics hubs, public transit, ports, and airports.
- 5Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and delivery teams.
- 6Strong analytical skills to translate market insights into actionable business models.
- 7Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging customers and partners.
- 8Willingness to travel as needed for customer engagements and partnerships.
