Business Analyst Scrum Master, Agile Coaching
Overview
You will own Agile operations for up to 3 teams, planning and facilitating events to keep delivery aligned with business value. You'll guide Scrum and Kanban practices, remove blockers, and coach teams on Agile principles. You collaborate directly with product owners and stakeholders, turning business needs into actionable work streams. This contract role in San Diego stands out for its dual focus on analysis and Agile leadership.
What You'll Do7
- 1Plan and schedule Sprint ceremonies, including backlog grooming, planning, review, and retrospective, for up to 3 teams.
- 2Facilitate daily stand-ups and remove impediments to maintain team velocity and focus.
- 3Coach teams on Agile values, artifacts, and goals, fostering self-organization and continuous improvement.
- 4Collaborate with product owners to refine backlogs and ensure work aligns with strategic priorities.
- 5Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, driving value-driven solutions.
- 6Monitor team metrics and report progress to stakeholders, highlighting risks and dependencies.
- 7Support decision-making by analyzing trade-offs and presenting data-driven options.
Requirements8
- 12+ years as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a software development environment.
- 2Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
- 3Experience facilitating Scrum events for multiple teams simultaneously.
- 4Proven ability to identify business needs and suggest value-driven solutions.
- 5Strong communication skills to effectively share and interpret information across roles.
- 6Analytical mindset for making informed decisions based on data and context.
- 7Experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
