Overview

The Building People seeks a Building Manager to lead facilities management across Federal sites. This role connects leadership with GSA for operations maintenance and service coordination. You will ensure systems run smoothly support infrastructure projects and uphold compliance standards.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Coordinate building system repairs and monitor performance across all locations
  • 2Dispatch and manage service requests to GSA for maintenance and equipment issues
  • 3Monitor contractor performance and resolve GSA service deficiencies
  • 4Maintain inventories of parts equipment and supplies
  • 5Initiate procurement requests and conduct equipment audits
  • 6Develop and administer space planning initiatives for organizational needs
  • 7Coordinate facility improvements and construction projects with leadership
  • 8Monitor compliance with environmental energy fire safety and physical security standards
  • 9Prepare cost estimates operational reports and performance metrics
  • 10Support facility operations through strong communication and organizational skills
  • 11Manage vendor relationships and address service contract evaluations

Requirements8

  • 15+ years building operations management experience
  • 23-5 seasons leading teams in commercial or government settings
  • 35+ years experience with HVAC electrical plumbing systems
  • 4Proven track record coordinating janitorial landscaping and snow removal services
  • 5Expertise in GSA building contracts and federal compliance requirements
  • 6Strong analytical abilities for preparing financial reports and asset documentation
  • 7Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management Engineering or related field
  • 8Microsoft Office proficiency required for reporting and documentation
