Building Engineer, HVAC & Facilities at NDBT
Overview
Own facility operations across multiple Dallas locations ensuring safe, functional, and well maintained buildings. Manages preventive maintenance, coordinates repairs with vendors, and supports after hours emergencies and bank events. Works independently, prioritizes multiple assignments, and delivers strong internal customer service. This role is unique in overseeing diverse facilities within a financial institution and supporting bank events and relocations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and perform routine inspections of bank buildings and systems to maintain safety and reliability
- 2Plan and execute preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and doors ensuring minimal disruption
- 3Troubleshoot minor issues and coordinate repairs with vendors to maintain facility uptime
- 4Respond to maintenance requests promptly and prioritize work by impact on operations
- 5Coordinate office moves, furniture installation, and workstation setup for new or relocated facilities
- 6Support after hours emergency response for facility related issues when needed
- 7Oversee outside contractors, review work quality, and ensure adherence to bank security procedures
- 8Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and logs for all locations
- 9Monitor building automation systems to ensure proper operation of facility equipment
- 10Assist with budgeting by forecasting long term facility needs and investments
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or equivalent
- 2Technical or trade school training in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related field preferred
- 3Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial building maintenance or building engineering experience preferred
- 4Experience maintaining multiple facilities is strongly preferred
- 5Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to travel between locations
- 6Ability to respond to after hours facility emergencies on occasional basis
- 7Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact with employees, vendors, and management
- 8Knowledge of OSHA standards and building codes and ability to conduct routine safety inspections
- 9Proficiency with basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- 10Experience with bank security procedures and maintaining professional appearance and operation of facilities
