Overview

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operations and preventative maintenance of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems for a class A building. Take directions from Chief engineer on daily priorities and finish work orders in a timely manner with documentation logs. This position includes supervising vendors during building systems testing and tenant buildouts. Requires participation in rotating emergency on call and occasional overtime. May supervise other maintenance staff based on assignment size and complexity. Work with property management team and attend weekly meetings. Respond immediately to emergencies and customer service requests. Inspect buildings grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions. Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems fire pumps and related fire protection system equipment. Operate scissor and boom lifts. Read and document gas and water meters. Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary. Comply with all applicable codes regulations and company directives. Use technology such as smartphones tablets computers and web-based applications. Use building automation systems. Must use UKG timecard app for in and out punches. Complete annual C&W Safety Training. Maintain C&W uniform dress code and appear neat while on property outside work hours.

Requirements10

  • 15+ years building engineering experience
  • 23-5 seasons of relevant work history
  • 3CPC Card certification
  • 4BCBA certification
  • 5AWS Certified credentials
  • 6High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 7Technical proficiency in HVAC
  • 8Basic computing skills in Outlook Excel and Word
  • 9Ability to work extended periods without relief
  • 10Shift work and on-call availability required
