Overview
Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS) for Substance Use Disorders Level III.5 provide 24-hour detoxification in a non-medical setting. This role follows Acute Treatment Services (ATS) and includes supervision, education, and counseling. The counselor leads groups and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery. This position offers ongoing patient support and acts as an advocate and role model.
What You'll Do11
- 1Conduct individual counseling sessions and document findings
- 2Facilitate group and family sessions under supervision
- 3Perform initial and follow-up assessments for patients
- 4Develop individual treatment plans and ensure timely documentation
- 5Maintain accurate records and communicate with referral sources
- 6Provide crisis intervention and aftercare planning
- 7Act as liaison with insurance carriers and other programs
- 8Assess patient needs and determine referral requirements
- 9Manage patient milieu and encourage medication adherence
- 10Implement recovery plans with patients and colleagues
- 11Utilize motivational enhancement techniques and interviewing strategies
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in social or health services with 2+ years counseling experience or master's with 1 year professional work experience
- 2LADC or CADC certification preferred
- 3At least 2 years healthcare or substance use treatment experience
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet research
- 5Ability to understand and optimize safety for substance users
- 6Bilingual skills beyond English preferred
- 7Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- 8Flexibility for fast-paced environment and diverse patient needs
- 9Cultural competence and sensitivity to diversity
