Overview
Full time essential role operating Colorado Department of Human Services Central heat plant. Responsible for high temperature hot water generators and environmental systems ensuring safe operations. Requires 5+ years boiler experience.
What You'll Do11
- 1Operate and maintain high temperature hot water generators using natural gas and diesel
- 2Analyze process fluids entering and leaving steam plant
- 3Perform preventative maintenance on environmental emission control systems
- 4Maintain plant cleanliness and equipment
- 5Troubleshoot machinery including valves pumps and turbines
- 6Monitor and operate Direct Drive Control systems and emergency generators
- 7Provide phone support during 2nd and 3rd shifts
- 8Perform water testing and chemical treatment for heating systems
- 9Manage snow removal and grounds area maintenance
- 10Coordinate after hours emergencies and dispatch DFM personnel
- 11Ensure compliance documentation for regulatory requirements
Requirements9
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Experience with high pressure boiler operations
- 3Valid Stationary Engineer License A ASOPE or equivalent
- 4Colorado driver's license with out-of-state conversion within 30 days
- 5Ability to pass TB test and receive influenza vaccination
- 6Experience with hazardous material exposure and electrical safety
- 7Proven ability to work essential hours including after hours calls
- 8Background check clearance for direct contact with vulnerable persons
- 9Prerequisite: 4 years related education or apprenticeship in high pressure boiler operations
