Overview

As a Pre-Litigation Negotiator at The Godsey Law Firm, you own the negotiation phase for personal injury cases, maximizing settlement value after case managers and demand writers build the foundation. You go toe-to-toe with insurance adjusters, using strategy and persuasion to dismantle low offers and secure top-dollar settlements. Collaborate with attorneys, case managers, and demand writers to strengthen case leverage, and deliver visible results that drive client satisfaction and firm success. Your outcomes are direct: every dollar you secure reflects your impact, and the firm rewards that success.

  • 1Negotiate settlements directly with insurance adjusters, using case leverage to maximize every claim's value.
  • 2Counter low-ball offers with data, medical records, and persuasive arguments, pushing carriers toward fair settlements.
  • 3Review demand packages and case files to identify strengths and prepare for adjuster tactics.
  • 4Collaborate with attorneys and case managers to strengthen case positioning before and during negotiations.
  • 5Manage a busy negotiation docket, tracking follow-ups and maintaining case momentum.
  • 6Escalate strategically toward litigation or internal leadership when negotiations stall.
  • 7Present client damages compellingly, translating records and testimony into a strong narrative.
  • 8Track outcomes and adjuster patterns, continuously refining negotiation approaches.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of personal injury negotiation or insurance bodily injury negotiation experience.
  • 2Proven track record of achieving top-dollar settlements in high-pressure negotiations.
  • 3Ability to anticipate adjuster tactics and counter with strategic, evidence-based arguments.
  • 4Strong communication skills to present damages and manage client expectations clearly.
  • 5Experience reading medical records, including MRI findings and treatment histories.
  • 6Comfort with fast-paced case loads and ability to stay organized.
  • 7High ethical standards and commitment to professional conduct.
  • 8Collaborative mindset, working effectively with legal teams.
