What You'll Do9
- 1Perform preventive maintenance and safety testing on laboratory instruments, recording functional data within quality control limits.
- 2Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, minimizing downtime through root-cause analysis and calibration checks.
- 3Collaborate with laboratory staff to support daily equipment needs and operational workflows.
- 4Attend advanced vendor training on Roche Diagnostics and Werfen systems to build specialized repair skills.
- 5Use the equipment management system to track maintenance history, repairs, and asset status.
- 6Maintain parts inventory to ensure component availability for repairs.
- 7Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for service support and replacements.
- 8Document all maintenance and test results accurately in the CMMS.
- 9Follow SOPs and safety protocols across laboratory, warehouse, and office settings.
Requirements10
- 13+ years of experience with laboratory equipment in a biomedical setting.
- 21+ year as a Biomedical Engineering Technician (BMET) or equivalent.
- 3Hands-on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of lab instrumentation.
- 4Proficiency with calibration and metrology concepts.
- 5Experience coordinating with equipment vendors and service providers.
- 6Familiarity with Roche Diagnostics or Werfen platforms preferred.
- 7Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field required; AS degree accepted with strong experience.
- 8Certification as CBET or similar is highly desirable.
- 9Ability to pass advanced vendor training and obtain specialized equipment knowledge.
- 10Strong data entry skills for accurate documentation in CMMS.
