Overview
Bindery Operator responsible for setting up and running jobs to specifications while maintaining productivity quality and efficiency. This full-time position reports to the Bindery Manager in Portland Oregon.
What You'll Do13
- 1Pull job ticket and photocopy before setting up and running jobs to specifications
- 2Set up and run jobs obtaining quality approval from manager supervisor or quality control person
- 3Run machines at acceptable production rates striving for continuous improvement and decreasing spoilage
- 4Collect samples from press pallets ensuring distribution according to job ticket specifications
- 5Communicate machine performance and job status with next shift operator
- 6Leave notes for operators regarding time lapses between shifts
- 7Complete shift reports and submit them to manager before shift end
- 8Train general workers trainees and temporary employees on proper safe job performance
- 9Assist temporary employees with time cards
- 10Maintain machines daily and weekly as needed reporting repairs with part numbers from manuals
- 11Track materials and replacement parts to ensure inventory levels and report shortages in writing
- 12Ensure safety devices are functional and in use during operation
- 13Report necessary repairs to manager and maintain clean work environment for next shift

- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons experience
- 35+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 4Level I Bindery Operator ability to set up and operate machinery with assistance
- 5Level II Bindery Operator ability to set up and operate machinery independently
- 6Level III Bindery Operator ability to set up run and perform maintenance and repairs on machinery
- 7Industrial power truck certification
