Bilingual Youth Stabilization Specialist, Spanish-English
Overview
Provide daily care, guidance, and emotional support to youth in a stabilization program, using your bilingual skills to connect with Spanish-speaking families. You'll join a multidisciplinary team focused on healing-centered, culturally responsive treatment, helping each youth build stability and growth. Your role includes implementing routines, behavioral strategies, and crisis interventions, always aligned with trauma-informed practices. What You'll Do9
- 1Supervise youth continuously, ensuring safety and structure per STRTP licensing and agency standards.
- 2Implement daily routines and behavioral support strategies consistent with individual treatment plans.
- 3Use trauma-informed communication and de-escalation techniques to help youth manage distress or conflict.
- 4Intervene in crisis situations following approved agency and CDSS policies to ensure safety.
- 5Participate in incident reviews, safety planning, and staff debriefings to improve care practices.
- 6Coordinate transportation for school, medical, social activities, therapy appointments, and court hearings.
- 7Join an on-call rotation to provide crisis support outside regular hours.
- 8Participate in program staff meetings and complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- 9Attend weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's degree + 1 year experience, or Associate degree + 2 years, or High school diploma + 3 years of applicable experience.
- 2Applicable experience includes paid or unpaid work involving direct supervision and care of youth or families in social services, group homes, behavioral health, or child welfare.
- 3Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- 4Available for rotating emergency on-call shifts scheduled ahead of time.
- 5At least 21 years old.
- 6Pass TB test, fingerprinting, and other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
- 7Hold a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca's insurance policy.
