Bilingual Service Writer, Automotive Repair
Overview
You will own the customer service desk at Fix It Auto Repair, managing all inbound service requests for our Phoenix shop. You will serve as the bridge between Spanish-speaking clients and our technicians, translating needs and explaining repairs clearly. This role offers hands-on growth in a busy, inclusive auto repair environment with a focus on customer loyalty and upselling.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet customers in Spanish and English, documenting their service needs and vehicle details in the company's management system.
- 2Explain recommended repairs and costs to customers, ensuring clarity on scope and pricing before work begins.
- 3Upsell services like oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations by matching customer needs with vehicle condition.
- 4Coordinate with technicians to schedule work and keep customers updated on progress and completion times.
- 5Manage service orders, appointments, and follow-up calls to confirm vehicle readiness and collect feedback.
- 6Resolve customer complaints and inquiries with professionalism, turning issues into positive experiences.
- 7Maintain a clean service area, organizing paperwork and tools to support daily operations.
- 8Stay current on automotive systems and repair procedures to communicate accurately with both customers and techs.
Requirements8
- 1Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English with strong verbal and written skills in both.
- 2Basic knowledge of automotive systems, including brakes, engines, and electrical components.
- 31+ years in service writing, customer service, or a similar automotive role is preferred.
- 4Proven ability to upsell services and products based on customer interaction and vehicle diagnostics.
- 5Strong organizational skills to manage multiple service orders and appointments daily.
- 6Proficiency with automotive service management software and standard office computers.
- 7High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certification or automotive training is a plus.
- 8Availability to work 5-6 days per week, with Sundays off.
