Bilingual Production Lead, Manufacturing & cGMP
Overview
Own shift operations for a cGMP-compliant assembly cell, directing a team of 10-20 operators to hit daily production targets in a high-volume food and drug manufacturing plant. Coordinate staffing, training, and quality checks, and act as the bridge between the supervisor and the floor. This role offers temp-to-hire status with shift differentials and a direct path to a permanent leadership position.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead the production team on your shift, assigning tasks to meet the production schedule and customer demand, and hold daily start-up huddles to align the team on safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
- 2Coordinate and execute employee training to ensure all procedures meet company quality standards and cGMP requirements.
- 3Monitor production workflows, observing equipment and processes, and report issues with quality, equipment, or materials to the Production Supervisor.
- 4Complete lot acceptance activities for the assigned assembly cell, verifying components and reconciling production materials daily.
- 5Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly production metrics, and work with the supervisor to address any efficiency shortfalls.
- 6Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities and submitting change controls when BOMs don't match floor processes.
- 7Operate machines and assemble products as part of the team, following detailed assembly instructions and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- 8Communicate production status at shift changes and management updates, and ensure all employees comply with PPE and cGMP entry protocols.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 22-3 years of related production experience, including experience leading teams or projects.
- 3Experience in food and drug manufacturing with knowledge of cGMP and PPE requirements.
- 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn the Deacom ERP system.
- 5Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, with clear written and verbal communication skills.
- 6Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
- 7Ability to analyze and solve production problems, applying common sense to carry out detailed instructions.
- 8Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, and to convert weight metrics like grams, ML, OZ, LB, KG, and gallons.
- 9Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, with vision capabilities including close, distance, and color vision.
- 10Willingness to work in environments with exposure to fumes, chemicals, and varying temperatures, and to comply with safety protocols.
