
Benefits Specialist BCForward
Overview
We seek a Benefits Specialist to lead benefits administration at BCForward. This role drives accurate benefits operations and ensures policy compliance across the organization.
What You'll Do11
- 1Verify calculations of periodic premium and administrative statements for group insurance policies and process vendor invoices for payment including spreadsheet preparation for accounting
- 2Answer routine employee benefits questions and coordinate escalations with subject matter experts as needed
- 3Handle routine department mailings
- 4Complete benefit questionnaires and forms
- 5Administer Qualified Medical Child Support Orders and verify employee submitted documentation
- 6Facilitate premium payments for employees on leave of absence
- 7Coordinate eligibility and enrollments for retiree medical and retiree life benefits
- 8Calculate and communicate COBRA subsidies related to layoff military leave and employee deaths
- 9Manage FSA and COBRA error reports Adoption Assistance administration filing and other assigned tasks
- 10Support benefits database maintenance and payroll integration
- 11Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve processes
Requirements11
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2High school diploma or GED
- 3Basic knowledge of HR and benefits
- 4Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- 5Attention to detail
- 6Customer service skills with effective verbal communication
- 7Ability to identify issues and resolve from established options
- 8Recommend process improvements
- 9Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with payroll HRIS and benefits databases
- 10Proven team collaboration skills and ability to work independently within function
- 11Strong organization and time management to meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality
Salary Insight
$42 - $52k per year
