Overview
This position owns bar flow and bartender support at a high-volume Tiburon venue. You keep the bar stocked, clean, and organized, handling ice, glassware, garnishes, and spirits. You report to the Restaurant Manager and support a team of Bartenders. The role pays $16.90/hour plus tips and includes growth paths. What You'll Do9
- 1Anticipate Bartender needs and proactively restock ice, glassware, garnishes, and spirits during peak service.
- 2Maintain constant awareness of bar flow and step in to reset stations, clear glassware, and manage dish drop-offs.
- 3Prepare garnish trays, juices, and batching components to standard before and during service.
- 4Own cleanliness of the bar, including surfaces, sinks, and wells, with continuous wiping and restocking.
- 5Execute opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and storage of wine and liquor.
- 6Support Bartenders by running food and beverages to tables when needed to keep service seamless.
- 7Communicate timing and stock levels clearly with the bar team to prevent disruptions.
- 8Handle trash, recycling, and back-of-house upkeep to keep bar areas service-ready.
- 9Step into additional tasks as directed by management to ensure full operational coverage.
Requirements8
- 11+ year bar back or server assistant experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar.
- 2Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for 8+ hours, and move quickly through tight spaces.
- 3Working knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and bar tools like jiggers and shakers.
- 4Capacity to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexible schedule availability.
- 5Strong communication skills to coordinate with Bartenders and managers.
- 6Must be 18+ and able to obtain a California Food Handler Card within 30 days.
- 7Comfort with using POS systems like Toast or Square for quick order entry.
- 8Prior cash handling and tip pooling experience in a tip-sharing environment.
