You lead a team of 15-20 Team Members, including Assistant Team Leaders and supervisors, across bakery, culinary, and deli counters. You drive merchandising, labor, and compliance while fostering a culture of excellence. What You'll Do8
- 1Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team of 15-20 Team Members, including conducting performance evaluations and corrective actions.
- 2Own daily operations: set labor schedules, control expenses, and hit sales and margin targets for the department.
- 3Maintain product assortment and inventory levels using planograms and category management schedules, ensuring cross-merchandising aligns with global guidelines.
- 4Verify nutritional labeling and product freshness, complying with FDA and OSHA standards.
- 5Resolve customer inquiries and complaints within 24 hours, directing Team Members to exceed service expectations.
- 6Collaborate with store leadership to align department goals with regional initiatives and promotional calendars.
- 7Reduce turnover by 10% through mentorship and consistent feedback loops.
- 8Lead weekly huddles to communicate vision, safety protocols, and performance metrics.
Requirements9
- 124+ months retail experience including 12+ months leading a team.
- 2Food Safety Certification (or complete within 6 months of hire).
- 3Advanced knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques.
- 4Proven ability to analyze financial reports and adjust strategies to meet profitability goals.
- 5Strong interpersonal skills to coach and motivate a diverse team.
- 6Proficiency with Microsoft Office and retail operations software.
- 7Physical capability: lift 50 lbs, stand/walk 6-8 hours per shift, and work in cold/wet environments down to 90°F.
- 8Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 9Authorization to operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and box cutters.
