Overview
Proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and other equipment in a high-volume wholesale club. Unpack frozen products, follow bakery production charts, and ensure fresh, quality items on the sales floor. Work alongside 30,000+ team members who value speed, agility, and customer service. This role includes cross-training across departments and weekly pay.
What You'll Do10
- 1Proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and other equipment per product handling info.
- 2Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on bakery production charts.
- 3Package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, and cakes.
- 4Decorate special order or case product to meet member requests.
- 5Rotate and store bakery products following food safety and food freshness policies.
- 6Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments.
- 7Generate labels and price tickets for bakery goods and perform price checks.
- 8Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and food surfaces, including ovens, refrigerated cases, and display racks.
- 9Answer member calls, take special orders, and recommend bakery items.
- 10Check for out-of-date products daily and follow salvage and stale product policies.
Requirements7
- 11+ years working in a bakery or customer service environment preferred.
- 2Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
- 318+ years of age.
- 4Ability to move and stand for extended periods, bend, pull, reach, and stoop.
- 5Frequently lift objects up to 30 pounds; occasionally lift heavier with assistance.
- 6Comfortable working in temperature extremes from freezers and ovens.
- 7Availability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays as needed.
