Own the financial reporting function for a community credit union at scale, ensuring GAAP and NCUA compliance across all reports. Lead the accounting and finance teams to drive accuracy, strong internal controls, and strategic decision support. Partner with senior leadership and external auditors to safeguard fiscal health and support community-focused growth.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Lead the preparation and filing of internal, external, and regulatory reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • 2Oversee financial reporting to management and the Board, including KPI reporting and variance analysis.
  • 3Ensure adherence to GAAP and NCUA rules, BSA, OFAC, and REG E compliance across all processes.
  • 4Develop, automate, and streamline financial reporting processes and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.
  • 5Analyze financial data and trends to support strategic decision-making and budgeting.
  • 6Act as primary liaison for auditors and examiners with timely data and analytics.
  • 7Manage and develop direct reports with coaching, performance feedback, and development plans.
  • 8Promote the organization’s culture of ownership and customer service excellence in daily operations.
  • 9Represent BrightBridge in community events to strengthen relationships and visibility.

Requirements6

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or master’s preferred).
  • 2Five to seven years of progressive experience with financial institutions.
  • 3Strong understanding of credit union operations, financial markets, and regulatory frameworks.
  • 4Extensive background in finance, accounting, risk, or data analytics within financial services.
  • 5Familiarity with core processing systems (Symitar, Fiserv) and financial modeling.
  • 6Excellent communication and presentation skills.
