Overview
Own the design and delivery of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 solutions for a large enterprise, retiring legacy Citrix environments. Lead architecture, implementation, and escalation support for a global end-user computing platform. Partner with infrastructure and security teams to drive modernization through Intune policy management. This role demands deep AVD expertise and a track record of successful migrations. What You'll Do8
- 1Design AVD host pools, session hosts, and image management using Azure compute and storage.
- 2Implement Windows 365 Cloud PC provisioning and assignment policies for hybrid workforces.
- 3Migrate existing Citrix workloads to AVD, ensuring zero downtime and performance parity.
- 4Define Intune device compliance and configuration profiles for Windows endpoints.
- 5Automate deployment and scaling of AVD environments using PowerShell or Bicep.
- 6Optimize user experience and cost through right-sizing, scaling, and capacity planning.
- 7Provide tier-3 escalation support for AVD, Windows 365, and Intune incidents.
- 8Document architecture, runbooks, and best practices for operations teams.
Requirements8
- 15+ years architecting virtual desktop solutions, with 3+ years dedicated to Azure Virtual Desktop.
- 2Hands-on experience with Citrix migration or coexistence scenarios.
- 3Deep knowledge of Windows 365 Cloud PC and Intune management.
- 4Proficiency in Azure networking, identity (Entra ID), and security controls.
- 5Experience with FSLogix profile containers and MSIX app attach.
- 6Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Bicep for infrastructure as code.
- 7Relevant certifications: Microsoft Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect.
- 8Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
