Overview

The AV Technical Coordinator at Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance leads technical support for events and campus systems. This role ensures high-quality AV experiences for guests and staff across the zoo. You will partner with teams to deliver seamless audio visual services.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Coordinate setup operation and testing of audiovisual equipment for meetings presentations trainings and guest experiences
  • 2Provide professional support during live events and daily operations troubleshooting audio video projection and conferencing systems
  • 3Maintain equipment inventory and coordinate repairs storage and safe handling of AV assets
  • 4Assist with installation configuration and documentation of permanent and temporary audiovisual installations
  • 5Collaborate with IT facilities and operations to integrate technology solutions and resolve complex issues
  • 6Offer training and guidance to staff presenters and external partners on equipment usage
  • 7Monitor system reliability and recommend improvements to enhance user experience
  • 8Follow safety protocols and handle confidential information with discretion
  • 9Support snow removal and outdoor operations as needed

Requirements10

  • 1Two-year degree or technical training in audiovisual technology sound design or related field preferred
  • 2Experience with live event AV support digital signage campus-wide audio video systems and hybrid meeting platforms
  • 3Previous work in zoos aquariums museums or similar public venues valued
  • 4Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • 5Certification in Q-SYS Level 1 within first year required
  • 6Ability to lift 50 pounds and pass physical background checks
  • 7Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • 8Commitment to collaboration inclusion and guest service
  • 9Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling software
  • 10Willingness to work weekends evenings and holidays
