Automotive Technician, Tire & Repair Services
Overview
As an Automotive Technician at Mr.Tire Auto Service Centers in Charlotte, NC, you own the diagnostic and repair process for a high volume of guest vehicles. You run basic diagnostics, execute maintenance services, and deliver a 5 Star guest experience. What You'll Do8
- 1Run basic diagnostics to identify vehicle issues and recommend repairs within the first 90 days.
- 2Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process on every vehicle, documenting findings and communicating needs.
- 3Audit inspections performed by General Service Technicians to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
- 4Pull tires and parts, unload stock, and assist with inventory management to keep the shop running.
- 5Perform services to Monro's safety standards, including wheel torque and oil compliance procedures.
- 6Test drive vehicles following Monro's Road Test policy and local traffic laws.
- 7Operate and maintain equipment safely, including lifts, welders, and brake lathes.
- 8Complete Monro University training modules to keep technical skills current and certified.
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2Automotive training in basic car maintenance and repair, or equivalent education and experience.
- 3ASE certification preferred, plus State Inspection license where applicable.
- 4Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- 5Own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro's tool purchase program.
