Automotive Technician, Tire & Maintenance
Overview
You will own the diagnosis and repair of vehicles at a Bridgestone Retail Operations store, serving over 22,000 teammates across North America. You will perform oil changes, tire services, and brake inspections, and grow your skills with company-funded ASE certifications. What You'll Do8
- 1Perform oil changes and scheduled maintenance services, including filter replacements and fluid checks.
- 2Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems, then report findings to the service team.
- 3Install batteries and test electrical systems with diagnostic tools.
- 4Execute tire maintenance: rotations, balancing, and repairs, ensuring proper pressure and alignment.
- 5Install parts such as belts, hoses, and wipers, following OEM specifications.
- 6Road test vehicles to verify repairs and identify additional issues.
- 7Earn ASE certifications (A1-A8) within the first two years, with company-paid test fees and bonus incentives.
- 8Document all work performed and communicate with customers on repair needs.
Requirements6
- 11+ year of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational-technical program in a related field.
- 2Valid driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- 3Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair, including oil changes and inspections.
- 4Ability to read and write in English and perform basic math.
- 5Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- 6ASE certification or equivalent external qualifications preferred.
