Automotive Technician, HEAT & AC (PA State Inspection)
Overview
You will own full vehicle repairs and inspections, handling roughly 300 cars per month in a family-owned shop with a 4.7 Google rating. Backed by a team of service advisors who actively sell your work, you'll fix cars right the first time. What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and repair vehicle heating and air conditioning systems, using AC recovery and recharge equipment
- 2Perform PA State Inspections and identify needed repairs to ensure safety and compliance
- 3Build complete repair estimates and communicate findings to service advisors for accurate customer approvals
- 4Own high-quality repairs on brakes, suspension, and engine components, fixing cars right the first time
- 5Follow shop processes to maintain an organized and efficient workflow, reducing chaos and drama
- 6Debug complex electrical and mechanical issues, leveraging diagnostic tools like OBD-II scanners
- 7Mentor apprentice technicians on repair techniques and shop standards during peak demand
- 8Document all work performed in the shop management system, noting parts and labor times
Requirements8
- 1PA State Inspection license required
- 23+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience, including HEAT and AC systems
- 3Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues without supervision
- 4Familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and OBD-II scanners
- 5Strong attention to detail to ensure vehicles are fixed right the first time
- 6Willingness to learn and adopt our established shop processes
- 7Ability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed
- 8Valid driver's license and clean driving record
