What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee all accounting operations for a franchise dealership including billing accounts payable and payable general ledger and financial reporting ensuring accuracy and consistency
- 2Prepare monthly financial statements and guarantee timely accurate reporting following applicable regulations and company policies
- 3Maintain compliance with federal state and local financial requirements proactively advising leadership on risks and necessary actions
- 4Supervise financial forecasts and analyze variances supporting ongoing planning
- 5Lead internal and external audits ensuring efficient preparation and execution
- 6Partner with leadership to analyze financial performance delivering actionable insights to boost profitability and operational efficiency
- 7Establish strong internal controls to protect assets and reduce financial risk
- 8Mentor and develop accounting staff fostering a capable team
- 9Require Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience with CPA designation preferred
- 10Manage audits and collaborate with external auditors using advanced Excel proficiency
- 11Communicate financial results clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Requirements7
- 110+ years progressive accounting experience in automotive dealerships including management of dealership accounting operations and teams
- 2Deep understanding of GAAP financial reporting and regulatory compliance
- 3Strong analytical organizational and leadership abilities
- 4Excellent communication skills for clear financial reporting
- 5Experience with audit processes and external auditors
- 6Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- 7CPA certification is a plus
