Automotive Parts Advisor, Dealership & Service Parts
Overview
You will own parts procurement and distribution for a busy Kia service department, ensuring technicians and retail customers get the right parts fast. You will tie into a family-owned dealer group with 30+ years in the market, working across service, sales, and inventory teams. Daily work includes ordering, receiving, and stocking parts, plus direct customer support at the counter. What You'll Do8
- 1Order, receive, and distribute parts for service department technicians and retail counter customers using Dealer Management Systems
- 2Provide precise answers on parts availability, pricing, and vehicle compatibility, working with Kia parts catalogs daily
- 3Process parts orders and returns, including manufacturer and core returns, to keep inventory clean
- 4Coordinate with service advisors to speed up repair timelines by staging parts before scheduled work
- 5Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, labeling, and shelf organization in the parts warehouse
- 6Handle customer purchases and inquiries at the counter, building trust and repeat business
- 7Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts of high-turn parts
- 8Keep the workspace clean and organized to support fast retrieval and safety
Requirements8
- 11+ years in an automotive parts role or comparable dealership experience
- 2Knowledge of automotive systems, parts diagrams, and repair procedures, with Kia or Hyundai experience preferred
- 3Strong command of Dealer Management Systems and parts lookup tools
- 4Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended shifts
- 5Flexible schedule including Saturdays and peak service hours
- 6Clear verbal and written communication for counter and phone interactions
- 7Detail-oriented with a system for tracking orders and inventory
- 8Comfortable in a high-volume setting with multiple priorities
