Service Technician, ASE Certified (Kia)
Overview
You will own the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Kia vehicles at a family-owned dealership serving Texas for over 40 years. 5+ years of experience and ASE Certification are the backbone of this role, with access to Apprenticeship Programs for continued growth. You will work alongside a stable team, reporting directly to the Service Advisor to ensure customers receive transparent updates. What You'll Do6
- 1Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning using diagnostic tools.
- 2Execute repairs specified on the repair order, following dealership policies and manufacturer warranty specifications.
- 3Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems to confirm proper functionality.
- 4Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to update customers on additional service needs and provide time estimates.
- 5Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to dealership standards for quality and efficiency.
- 6Complete required documentation for warranty claims and repair orders.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of Service Technician experience required
- 2ASE Certification required, including A-Level qualifications in Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
- 3Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies, including hybrid and EV systems
- 4Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment
- 5Excellent customer service skills and a positive, friendly attitude
- 6Basic computer skills for diagnostic and reporting systems
- 7Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and specifications
- 8Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 9Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 10Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check
