Automotive Assistant & Service Manager, Tire Retail & Auto Repair
Overview
Automotive professionals will lead service operations at Mavis Tire retail centers with a focus on tire sales, maintenance, and repair. You will support store leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality work at scale across a nationwide network. You’ll collaborate with technicians, service advisors, and sales teams while driving customer satisfaction and service excellence. This role is differentiated by direct involvement in both service delivery and store leadership within a large, multi-brand automotive services organization.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead service operations to deliver high‑quality repairs and tire services while meeting customer expectations
- 2Manage technician work queues, scheduling, and workflow to ensure timely completion of jobs
- 3Coach and supervise technicians to uphold safety standards, policies, and procedures
- 4Assist customers with tire selections and maintenance recommendations to drive satisfaction and repeat business
- 5Drive sales initiatives, communicate repair options, and close service opportunities
- 6Oversee quality control and workflow staging for repair and maintenance tasks
- 7Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all activities
- 8Collaborate with Store Manager to optimize store performance and labor utilization
- 9Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts, and customer interactions
- 10Support open interviews and onboarding to grow team and reduce turnover
Requirements6
- 1Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
- 21 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales or in automotive repairs/maintenance
- 3Any combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating ability to perform duties
- 4Ability to work onsite in Detroit, MI and participate in a retail and service environment
- 5Excellent communication and customer service skills
- 6Willingness to learn Mavis processes, policies, and safety standards
Salary Insight
$40 - $65k per year
