Automation Technician, Conveyor & Robotics Maintenance
Overview
You will maintain and repair conveyor, automation, robotics, and refrigeration systems across a global food solutions network. This role is the resident expert in mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems, owning uptime and reliability for a multi-site operation. You will mentor lower-level technicians, lead root cause analysis for major downtime events, and drive standardization of preventive maintenance. Working with a collaborative maintenance team, you will directly impact production continuity at one of the world's leading meal kit companies.
What You'll Do10
- 1Own preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyor, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment.
- 2Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment, identify root causes, and implement fixes to restore operations.
- 3Escalate complex issues to leadership or vendors when additional expertise is required.
- 4Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems.
- 5Mentor maintenance personnel on mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems to build team capability.
- 6Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events and implement corrective actions.
- 7Act as a network-wide technical resource for complex issues and coordinate root cause analysis across sites.
- 8Audit maintenance and vendor work, providing feedback to improve quality and SLA performance.
- 9Write or modify preventive maintenance (PM) procedures to standardize across the network and increase effectiveness.
- 10Execute building project work as assigned to support facility improvements.
Requirements8
- 14-6 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, and/or refrigeration repair and maintenance, including mechanical and electrical operations.
- 2Advanced understanding of machinery and equipment.
- 3Basic computer skills for documentation and ticketing systems.
- 4Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
- 5Experience working with inputs, outputs, and PLC logic systems and troubleshooting these systems.
- 6Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes.
- 7High School diploma or equivalent.
- 8Mechatronics associate degree or equivalent preferred.
