What You'll Do8
- 1Diagnose and Repair Vehicle Systems using specialized tools to identify root causes of mechanical electrical and electronic issues
- 2Execute comprehensive repairs on engines transmissions brakes suspension steering air conditioning and electrical systems following manufacturer guidelines
- 3Complete scheduled maintenance and factory recalls ensuring accuracy and adherence to OEM procedures
- 4Document services performed and communicate findings transparently to service advisors
- 5Maintain a clean safe organized workspace and operate equipment requiring lifting up to 60 pounds
- 6Collaborate with technicians parts staff and advisors to optimize workflow
- 7Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training and pursue certifications
- 8Mentor junior technicians fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements11
- 13-5+ years of automotive technician experience in a dealership or reputable independent shop
- 2Foundational knowledge of engine brake and tire systems
- 3Familiarity with multiple vehicle makes and models
- 4ASE certifications preferred especially in areas aligned with specialization
- 5OEM-specific training and certifications valued
- 6Proven ability to diagnose complex automotive problems
- 7Expertise with diagnostic software and specialized equipment
- 8Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- 9Excellent communication and time management skills
