Overview

As an Automotive Senior Technician at Bridgestone Retail Operations, you will diagnose and repair complex drivability and electrical systems while mentoring junior techs in our San Diego store. You will work with Brake and Hydraulic systems, Steering and Suspension, and Alignments, using A.S.E. certifications to ensure quality. You'll lead a team toward superior customer care by explaining repairs to non-technical customers and training apprentices. What You'll Do7

  • 1Diagnose and repair brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems to factory specs.
  • 2Explain complex technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical customers, ensuring clear understanding.
  • 3Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • 4Assist and train technicians and mechanics in performing technical activities, sharing your expertise.
  • 5Earn A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1-A8 within your first two years of employment.
  • 6Maintain a valid driver's license and safely drive customer and company vehicles for road tests.
  • 7Use diagnostic tools like OBD-II scanners and Digital Multimeters to pinpoint issues in the first 90 days.

Requirements8

  • 13+ years of automotive repair experience, or equivalent via third-party assessments or vocational training.
  • 2Valid driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • 3Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems, steering and suspension, and alignments.
  • 4Skill in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
  • 5Current federal, state, and local certification or license where applicable.
  • 6Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people clearly.
  • 7Basic reading, writing, and math skills for service documentation.
  • 8A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1-A8 (or L1 certification) preferred.
