Overview
As an Auto Painter Helper at Caliber's Fayetteville service center, you'll prepare vehicles for painting, working side-by-side with skilled auto painters. What You'll Do7
- 1Sand and buff vehicles to prep surfaces for painting, using 3M abrasives and power tools.
- 2Maintain the paint booth and workspace, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment function.
- 3Assist the Auto Painter with masking, mixing, and spraying paint, following OEM specifications.
- 4Inspect repaired areas for defects and perform touch-ups as directed.
- 5Document all work performed and communicate with the team to ensure efficient workflow.
- 6Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- 7Support the team in meeting production goals by completing tasks on schedule.
Requirements6
- 11+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
- 2At least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and eligible for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy.
- 3Ability to perform consistent physical activity: reach below and above shoulder level, kneel, bend, squat, and lift objects over 50 lbs.
- 4Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- 5Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment.
- 6Nice to have: Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification.
