What You'll Do8
- 1Install windshields and side windows using manual and power tools, in-shop or on mobile assignments.
- 2Replace cracked or pitted glass on vehicles, from sedans to trucks, per manufacturer spec.
- 3Complete all paperwork and route logs for each installation, ensuring accuracy for Glass Manager review.
- 4Load glass and equipment into the service truck each day, verifying inventory.
- 5Inspect tools and equipment before each shift, flagging any defects.
- 6Perform minor glass repairs, such as chip fills, using resin kits.
- 7Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow OSHA safety guidelines.
- 8Report accidents or issues to management immediately to keep jobs on schedule.
Requirements8
- 14-6 years of auto glass installation or replacement experience.
- 2Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations).
- 3High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 4Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- 5Comfortable stooping, kneeling, and crawling during installations.
- 6Mechanical aptitude for hand tools and power tools.
- 7At least 18 years old.
- 8Willingness to work full-time hours, including occasional weekends.
