Auto Body Technician (Flat Rate)
Overview
Lead the delivery of exceptional customer experiences by performing meticulous assessments and quality repairs to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. This role aligns with the Boyd Group's commitment to speed quality and customer excellence while contributing to repair facility KPIs.
What You'll Do11
- 1Execute the Wow Operating Way plan to ensure consistent service standards
- 2Plan and prepare cost estimates for customer repairs
- 3Repair vehicle sections using cutting guns plasma cutters hydraulic jacks hammers and pliers
- 4Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when alternative methods are unavailable
- 5Realign chassis and frames to address structural damage
- 6Remove and replace damaged vehicle sections with new or aftermarket parts
- 7Replace or repair glass and windshields interior components as needed
- 8Weld attach parts and perform factory specified paint or agreed paint equivalents
- 9Complete work orders within labor time guidelines
- 10Inspect repaired vehicles to verify correct execution
- 11Perform additional related duties as assigned
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent education
- 2Completion of technical school program or 3-year auto body apprenticeship
- 3Ability to read job orders independently with minimal supervision
- 4Proficiency in operating required tools for automotive body repair
- 5Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- 6Visual inspection capability under varied weather conditions
- 7Flexibility to bend stretch kneel and squat during repairs
