Overview
Lead audit and assurance client relationships for the Assurance line of business while advancing quality growth and consistent delivery. This role focuses on leading engagement teams managing complex audit portfolios and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and firm leaders.
What You'll Do11
- 1Serve as audit engagement leader and/or client service coordinator managing required financial statements and related disclosures
- 2Manage multiple engagements overseeing milestones for complex audit and assurance projects
- 3Identify technical accounting and auditing matters early assessing impact and coordinating with firm specialists
- 4Review work product communicating audit status to clients and assess resources needed for project completion
- 5Maintain client contact throughout the year to build deeper relationships and understand client goals
- 6Manage profitability billing collections engagement economics and operational discipline aligned with firm expectations
- 7Assess risk designing audit procedures and communicating them to engagement teams
- 8Develop external relationships and centers of influence to support business growth and brand presence
- 9Provide insightful business advice presenting as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders
- 10Understand team member skillsets monitoring work product and providing coaching and performance feedback
- 11Develop others through training career development coaching and firm initiative participation
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with active CPA required
- 213+ years progressive public accounting or external audit experience including leading audit engagements of increasing complexity
- 3Proven track record building and maintaining substantial client portfolio bringing in new business retaining clients and ensuring profitability
- 4Demonstrated leadership managing multiple large audit portfolios supervising senior leadership and guiding talent development
- 5Deep technical mastery of US GAAP US GAAS or regulatory standards applying risk-based audit methodology
- 6Strong business development and strategic leadership identifying growth opportunities driving cross-firm service expansion
- 7Build local market relationships generating sustained client growth while ensuring exceptional service delivery
- 8Strong stakeholder management interacting with senior executives boards and firm leadership
- 9Strategic thinking influencing firm direction contributing to governance decisions
- 10Leads with ethical judgment ensuring compliance with audit standards and professional conduct
- 11Flexibility to travel manage demanding workloads and adapt to client and market pressures
