What You'll Do8

  • 1Diagnose and treat medical cases with support from senior veterinarians, using digital radiography and in-house lab equipment.
  • 2Perform soft tissue and dental surgeries, including procedures in the new dental suite, with mentorship for complex cases.
  • 3Develop and implement treatment plans, communicating with clients about diagnoses, prognoses, and preventive care.
  • 4Collaborate with the veterinary team on case rounds, sharing insights and second opinions to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • 5Manage a caseload of appointments, surgeries, and follow-ups, prioritizing patient well-being and client education.
  • 6Utilize electronic medical records to document cases accurately and maintain continuity of care.
  • 7Participate in ongoing learning through scheduled mentorship sessions and continuing education opportunities.
  • 8Mentor newer team members as you gain confidence, contributing to a culture of shared knowledge.

Requirements7

  • 1DVM degree or upcoming graduate eligible for licensure in Maryland.
  • 20-5+ years experience in small animal practice, with new graduates welcome.
  • 3Confidence in routine surgeries such as spay/neuter and dental cleanings, with willingness to expand skills.
  • 4Strong interpersonal skills for client communication and team collaboration.
  • 5Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with a focus on quality care.
  • 6Commitment to practicing evidence-based medicine and continuous learning.
  • 7Must be comfortable using veterinary software for records and prescriptions.
