Associate Practice Director, Design Firm Operations & Regional Leadership
Overview
Lead regional operations and business practices across multiple offices for a multidisciplinary design firm including architecture, engineering and interiors. Collaborate with Office Practice Leaders and Business Practice Directors to implement commercial, legal and process standards regionwide. Drive regional alignment, resource optimization, process standardization and staff development while embodying Living-Centered Design in client partnerships. This role stands out by blending design practice leadership with operational excellence across a broad geography.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and standardize project management and process leadership across the region to ensure consistent work planning, contracting, risk management, fee development and resource management
- 2Design and guide the delivery methods including Design Technology, Quality and Sustainability processes and integration across engineering and interior disciplines
- 3Lead regional assessments, mentorship and actions to improve staff performance and outcomes
- 4Drive collaboration with firm-wide Business Office and Legal Team to address commercial and risk issues
- 5Own the execution of regional strategy, staff development initiatives and brand ambassador activities across offices
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- 210+ years of experience with a proven track record of office management success in the design industry
- 3Strong communication and leadership skills with regional management experience
- 4Business acumen and demonstrated ability to execute strategy across multiple locations
- 5Commitment to regular travel across the region
- 6Ability to communicate authentically and respectfully in a professional setting
Salary Insight
$158 - $198k per year
