Jack. The role leads regulatory compliance for Chinatown Community Development Center's affordable housing portfolio across multiple funding programs. Owns timely contract renewals with HUD, SFHA, HCD, and TCAC and acts as primary liaison with regulatory agencies. Builds and curates training for staff on compliance requirements and maintains high standards of accuracy and governance. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and maintain forms, reports, manuals, policies, and procedures to monitor compliance and ensure site staff adhere to funding requirements
  • 2Design and lead internal monitoring of residents income certifications for regulatory accuracy and program compliance
  • 3Drive coordination with Property Management, Compliance, and Asset Management to deliver timely, portfolio-wide reporting and recertifications
  • 4Lead revenue-focused activities with Senior Director of Asset Management, tracking subsidies and contract renewals to maximize portfolio revenue
  • 5Oversee leasing up and compliance during unit designations and waitlist management in Yardi and DAHLIA
  • 6Develop and deliver compliance training programs for Property Management staff
  • 7Audit and report on internal and external monitoring of policies and regulatory agreements and respond to government inquiries
  • 8Monitor and improve waitlists, occupancy, and marketing alignment to regulatory standards
  • 9Coordinate between Compliance and Property Management on reasonable accommodations and modifications
  • 10Provide expert guidance on affordable housing regulations and serve as a resource to leadership and staff

Requirements10

  • 1Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in monitoring Tax Credit programs
  • 2Seven (7) years’ experience in property management/compliance management/asset management
  • 3Three (3) years` of supervisory experience
  • 4Certified Tax Credit Specialist (TCS) or Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS)
  • 5Knowledge of TCAC, HUD, MOHCD, HCD, and related guidelines/programs
  • 6Ability to work collaboratively with different levels of management and government agencies
  • 7High attention to detail with strong follow-through skills
  • 8Willingness and ability to travel within San Francisco
  • 9Experience with Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Office Suite
  • 10Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
