Associate Attorney, WSS, Securities Litigation & Demand Generation
Overview
WSS seeks an Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of litigation experience to join its headquarters in New York City. NY bar admission required (NJ admission a plus) for diverse practice including professional liability defense, medical malpractice, securities litigation and labor & employment. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally recognized firm specializing in securities litigation and regulatory defense.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and manage multiple case portfolios efficiently
- 2Prepare pleadings motions and discovery materials on time
- 3Participate in mediations hearings and depositions
- 4Evaluate findings develop strategies and arguments for case presentations
- 5Complete reports and projects adhering to partner and client needs
- 6Record billable hours accurately following firm policy
- 7Lead independent work while collaborating within a team
- 8Communicate effectively both written and orally
- 9Maintain strong research and legal writing skills
Requirements8
- 1J.D. from an accredited law school
- 21-5 years civil litigation experience
- 3NY bar admission required with NJ preferred
- 4Experience in securities litigation professional liability defense labor and employment
- 5Ability to comprehend complex matters and articulate core issues
- 6Keen eye for detail combined with exceptional research and proofreading abilities
- 7Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
- 8Strong written and oral communication skills
Salary Insight
$90 - $150k per year
