Associate Attorney, First-Party Property & Coverage Litigation
Overview
You will own first-party property and liability coverage litigation across New York and New Jersey, working directly under a Senior Partner on each assigned case. You will handle 1-5 years of litigation experience, from drafting pleadings to making court appearances. The role offers a hybrid schedule, full benefits, and a salary range of $105,000-$115,000. What You'll Do6
- 1Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses for New York and New Jersey cases.
- 2Administer depositions and issue interrogatories to move discovery forward.
- 3Review documents for privilege and relevance in complex coverage disputes.
- 4Perform legal research on first-party property and liability coverage issues.
- 5Make court appearances for motions, conferences, and hearings in state courts.
- 6Collaborate with Senior Partners on case strategy and client updates.
Requirements6
- 11-5 years of litigation experience in first-party property and liability coverage.
- 2Licensed in New York or New Jersey (both a plus).
- 3Excellent academic background with strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
- 4Meticulous attention to detail in legal analysis and document preparation.
- 5Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines under supervision.
- 6Hybrid schedule availability; must be willing to appear in court as needed.
