Overview
Own classroom presence in a faith-based independent school serving K-12 students in Phoenix with a focus on intellectual, ethical, and spiritual development. You will create a safe, orderly learning environment and support student growth through Socratic methods and personal modeling of character. You will participate in campus duties, meetings, and professional development to align with the Great Hearts mission.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build a safe classroom environment that supports learning for all students
- 2Maintain orderly classrooms and timely evaluation of student work
- 3Engage students using the Socratic method to foster critical thinking
- 4Lead by example through integrity, leadership, and character development
- 5Support the school vision of community, learning, and leadership
- 6Perform assigned campus duties and participate in faculty meetings
- 7Attend open houses and school events and complete professional development
- 8Enforce dress and behavior codes and promote orderly student conduct
- 9Keep accurate records and reports as required
- 10Participate in ongoing professional growth and collaboration with Head of School
Requirements6
- 1Associate’s degree preferred
- 2Fingerprint clearance card required or obtainable
- 3Ability to stand, sit, bend, squat, reach and move equipment up to 15 pounds
- 4Commitment to Great Hearts philosophy and mission
- 5Availability to travel locally for training and professional development
