Assistant Store Manager - Dollar Tree

What You'll Do10
- 1Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
- 2Help customers in a positive approachable manner addressing questions or concerns
- 3Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery trucks to stockroom and sales floor maintaining seasonal areas
- 4Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
- 5Process corporate directives such as Pull HoldDestroy Task Compliance Key Survey information requests and additional communications
- 6Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays
- 7Assist in ordering merchandise process damaged items record keeping payroll scheduling cash register deposits receipts and loss prevention
- 8Maintain store areas including sales floor stockroom to company standards protect and secure company assets including cash adhere to safety guidelines ensure associates follow policies
- 9Supervise train and develop store associates maintain positive safe respectful environment interact professionally with customers associates and leaders
- 10Ensure cleanliness throughout store cleaning restocking bathrooms sweeping mopping taking out trash and keeping areas neat and presentable
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or equivalent preferred ability to read interpret and explain operational directives store management experience in retail grocery or drug store preferred
- 2Ability to lift up to 55 lbs from floor above shoulder height meet demands of frequent walking standing stooping kneeling climbing pushing pulling and repetitive lifting
- 3Strong communication interpersonal and written skills exceptional customer service organizational and problem solving decision making abilities
