Assistant Project Manager Construction Tech Skills
Overview
Support Project Manager in construction projects from pre-construction to closeout. Act as liaison between PM subcontractors field staff and clients. Ensure safe on-time budget compliant builds. Lead documentation scheduling cost tracking and procurement. Differentiate by focusing on technical oversight and federal systems.
What You'll Do11
- 1Prepare distribute manage project documentation contracts submittals RFIs meeting minutes change orders closeout documents
- 2Maintain accurate project records using USACE RMS 3.0 or NAVFAC eCMS
- 3Schedule and monitor CPM schedules in Primavera P6 or MS Project identify delays
- 4Develop cost estimates budgets financial reports track expenses and prepare Schedule of Values pay applications
- 5Coordinate subcontractor procurement prepare bid solicitations analyze bids develop scopes of work and assist award
- 6Coordinate subcontractor activities ensure compliance with plans specifications safety quality standards
- 7Monitor delivery schedules material orders resolve on-site issues
- 8Conduct site visits to verify progress safety compliance quality
- 9Manage project closeout including punch list documentation and warranty administration
- 10Provide regular client stakeholder communication and progress reporting
- 11Participate in project meetings with clients architects engineers and federal representatives
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or related field
- 21 to 4 years experience in commercial or federal construction project support
- 3Knowledge of construction means methods codes and best practices
- 4Familiarity with Procore Viewpoint Bluebeam Primavera P6 or MS Project
- 5OSHA 10-Hour certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- 6U.S. citizenship for DoD site access
- 7Preference for USACE NAVFAC experience RMS 3.0 eCMS EM 385-1-1 UFGS OSHA 30-Hour MILCON DoD renovation exposure design-build
- 8Physical ability to sit stand bend climb lift up to 25 lbs
- 9Reliable attendance including holidays evenings weekends
- 10Ability to work at project sites outside local market
