Overview

You will own the daily delivery of Montessori curriculum for toddler, 3-6yrs, and preschool classrooms at Arka Montessori of Forney, serving up to 120 families. You report to the Lead Guide and collaborate with a team of four educators.   • 7Track attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones in the classroom log.
  • 8Adapt instruction for children with special needs, using IEP goals and inclusive practices.
  • 9Coach assistant interns on Montessori methods and classroom routines.
  • 10Maintain a tidy, prepared Montessori environment that invites exploration and independence.

Requirements10

  • 11+ years experience in a Montessori classroom, or completion of a Montessori internship.
  • 2Montessori certification at the assistant level (e.g., AMS, AMI, or MACTE).
  • 31+ years of hands-on experience with toddler or preschool children in a childcare setting.
  • 4Familiarity with special education practices, including IEPs and inclusive teaching strategies.
  • 5Working knowledge of child welfare regulations and best practices for safe environments.
  • 6Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to guide 3-6 year olds effectively.
  • 7Ability to promote early literacy through Montessori materials and storytime activities.
  • 8Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues daily.
  • 9Proven ability to work with diverse groups, including children with developmental delays.
  • 10High school diploma or equivalent; CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
