Assistant Manager at Total Wine & More
Overview
You will own store operations and drive sales for a top-tier Total Wine & More location in Dallas, Texas. You'll lead a team of 10-20 associates, own the customer experience, and hit key performance metrics. With 2+ years of retail management experience, you'll partner with the Store Manager to build a sales culture, manage inventory, and ensure compliance. This role offers a path to Store Manager and includes PTO, 401(k) matching, and tuition assistance.
What You'll Do7
- 1Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs) in your first 90 days.
- 2Recruit, train, and lead a store team, developing product knowledge and sales skills.
- 3Run day-to-day operations: payroll, inventory, merchandising, and shrink control.
- 4Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving issues.
- 5Manage vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
- 6Ensure compliance with all alcohol sales laws and maintain a safe store environment.
- 7Perform additional duties as assigned to support store success.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 21-3 years of work experience, including 2+ years in a managerial or supervisory retail role.
- 3Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales-focused team.
- 4Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- 5Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- 6Must be 21 years or older.
- 7Ability to walk, bend, and stand for 8-10 hours a day.
- 8Able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly, climb ladders, and handle cases/pallets.
- 9Comfort working in various outdoor weather conditions.
