Assistant Service Manager, Restaurant Operations
Overview
You will own the Front of House experience at a high-volume Texas Roadhouse, ensuring legendary service during peak hours and beyond. You will work directly with the Service Manager to drive sales and customer satisfaction. You will train and cross-train employees, manage schedules, and enforce compliance with food safety and responsible alcohol service standards. This role stands out for its hands-on approach: you will jump into serving, hosting, or cooking as needed to set the pace. What You'll Do11
- 1Oversee daily Front of House operations, including guest flow and side work completion.
- 2Train and cross-train employees on service standards and food safety protocols.
- 3Work peak shifts to set the pace and assist with serving, hosting, or cooking as needed.
- 4Conduct 100% table visits to capture customer feedback and refine the sales strategy with the Service Manager.
- 5Lead by example to mentor and develop team members and assistant managers.
- 6Manage scheduling for assigned departments, aligning with business volumes.
- 7Create and launch sales incentives and conduct alley rallies to drive revenue.
- 8Enforce compliance with alcohol service training and safe food handling procedures.
- 9Maintain cleanliness and guest safety standards throughout the restaurant.
- 10Assist with liquor inventory, ordering, and local store marketing efforts.
- 11Uphold the restaurant culture and core values in daily interactions.
Requirements10
- 12+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in a full-service environment.
- 2Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service practices.
- 3Proven ability to train, coach, and develop hourly team members.
- 4Experience managing schedules and controlling labor costs.
- 5Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- 6High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or business preferred.
- 7Demonstrated skill in handling customer complaints and ensuring satisfaction.
- 8Basic math skills for inventory and ordering functions.
- 9Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol and comply with state laws.
- 10Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
