Assistant General Counsel Legal Support Service Line Commercial Matters
Overview
Dynamic Assistant General Counsel provides legal support for service line commercial matters. Reports to senior legal staff. Works with business leaders and corporate teams to advise on contractual and risk-related issues in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do5
- 1Draft review and negotiate contracts such as client engagement agreements confidentiality agreements vendor agreements and ancillary agreements like IP and technology agreements
- 2Identify and analyze legal and risk issues in contracts providing clear recommendations to internal stakeholders across divisions
- 3Collaborate with legal and corporate teams to drive the contracting process ensuring efficiency and risk mitigation
- 4Provide strategic legal guidance supporting business objectives while adhering to applicable laws and company policies
- 5Drive improvements in contract processes through proactive solutions-oriented approaches
Requirements5
- 13+ years of legal experience in-house experience preferred
- 2Juris Doctor JD degree from accredited law school
- 3Active membership in State Bar with preference for New York Bar
- 4Strong ability to prioritize tasks maintain high quality in fast-paced setting
- 5Excellent communication relationship-building presentation skills organizational and project management capabilities
Salary Insight
$150 - $180k per year
